As an active community volunteer, respected elected official, and experienced professional
Marty Block is uniquely qualified to tackle the issues that are important to the diverse
community that is the 78th Assembly District.
Republicans have held
what should be a Democratic seat for too many years, and the time for Democratic
leadership is now. "I am amazed that some politicians forget they are elected
by, and
represent their community," commented Block. "San Diego and especially the 78th Assembly
District deserves its fair share from Sacramento, and we just haven't seen that with the
current Assemblymember," he continued, "I have worked long and hard for my community on
a local level, but we need leadership in Sacramento that will fight for ALL San Diego
and I will lead that fight," concluded Block.
A quick look at Marty Block's resume shows that he is more than just the education candidate.
His resume is rich in community service and civic involvement and Marty has always had a keen
grasp of so many issues that face our community.
